Walking chairs

One day Lulu was in a furniture shop while her family was looking at some tables. Lulu started using her imagination to think about what it would be like for the chairs in the furniture shop to start walking around. Lulu imagined that the chairs would walk down the aisle, since they have four legs.

And that the chairs would walk to the pillow section of the shop. Then Lulu imagined that the pillows would jump onto the chairs in little piles, a few pillows on each chair, and then the chairs would walk to the bed section of the shop and the pillows would jump off the chairs and onto the bed.

Then Lulu imagined that the chairs walked over to the lamp section of the shop, and that all the lamps turned on their lights, and jumped onto the chairs. Then Lulu imagined the chairs walked with the lamps on them, over to the carpet section of the shop.

And that the lamps jumped off the chairs, and onto the carpet pieces, and then Lulu imagined that the carpets would roll up around the lamps, so that it looked like there was light coming out of the carpets. Then Lulu imagined that the carpets with lamps rolled up inside them, jumped together onto the chairs, and then the chairs walked over to the bed section of the store.

And that the carpets and lamps jumped off the chairs, and onto the beds with the pillows. Now Lulu imagined that on the bed were the lamps rolled up in the carpets, and they were laying down on the pillows. Then Lulu imagined herself sitting on one of the walking chairs, and that chair walking around the shop with her sitting on it.

That was a very funny idea in her mind. Then Lulu thought about dressing up one of the chairs. So she went to the clothes section of the shop, and found a shirt and some pants, then she came back to the chair and put a shirt on the back of the chair, and put the pants on the legs of the chair.

The chair looked very funny. Then Lulu found a hat and put that on the chair. Lastly, Lulu found some shoes and put those under the legs of the chair. When her parents came over and saw the chair dressed up in a shirt, with pants, and a hat, they laughed. They asked her what was happening to the chair, and

Lulu answered that the chair was getting dressed up to walk around the shop. Then it was time to go, so Lulu took off the chair’s shirt, and pants, and hat, and shoes, and put those all away nicely in the shop. Then Lulu’s parents found a nice table for their apartment, and they bought it and put it in the car, and they all drove home together, slowly, slowly slowly.
