Zebra and the Plane

One day Zebra woke up and was excited. Today was her cousin’s birthday. And she was going to visit her cousin far away. And Zebra was going to take an airplane to see her cousin. Zebra was going to stay overnight, and packed a few things, including her toothbrush. Zebra also had a gift to bring to her cousin.

Zebra got a book for her cousin, and put it on the kitchen table to wrap it up. Then Zebra made some breakfast and ate it. After breakfast zebra cleaned up and got ready to go. Then Zebra took a taxi and went to the airport. When Zebra arrived at the airport, Zebra was very early and was able to wander around.

Zebra walked around and found a big window to watch the other airplanes landing down and flying up. Then it was time for zebra to get on an airplane and fly to her cousin’s city. While Zebra was on the airplane, Zebra opened her bag and ate a snack. She had made a peanut butter and honey sandwich.

And after Zebra had finished eating the sandwich, she looked in her bag and realized that she had forgotten the birthday gift that she wanted to bring to her cousin. Then the airplane landed and Zebra got off it. Zebra’s cousin was waiting for her at the airport, and she picked Zebra up. The cousin drove Zebra to her home.

When they arrived there, Zebra said she had to make a phone call. Zebra called her friend Bird and told him what happened. Zebra told Bird that she forgot the gift for her cousin back at her home. Zebra asked Bird if he could go to Zebra’s home and find the gift on the table. And then to fly it to Zebra at her cousin’s place.

Bird said that he could do that. And Bird went to zebra’s home and found the gift wrapped up. Bird put the gift in a bag and then flew up. Bird was high in the sky, flying towards zebra’s cousin’s place. But while bird was flying, there was a storm, and it started raining. Bird noticed that the gift it was holding was getting wet.

And Bird had to fly down to the ground and wait under a big tree for the storm to pass. When the storm was finished, Bird flew up into the air again and continued flying to Zebra’s cousin’s place. When Bird finally arrived there, Zebra was very happy to see bird. Zebra gave the gift to her cousin.

Zebra’s cousin opened the gift and saw that it was a book, but the book was wet. And Zebra had an idea. Zebra said they should put some bookmarks between every page, so that the book could dry. That way the pages won’t stick together. The three of them went to a bookstore together and bought some bookmarks.

Bird had flown a long way and was very tired. Zebra’s cousin offered Bird to stay and rest before flying back. Bird said that would be very nice. Then they decided to make lunch together. The three of them went to the grocery store together and bought some macaroni and cheese.

Then they went back to Zebra’s cousin’s place and made the macaroni and cheese. And after they ate lunch, Bird was ready for a nap. And Bird laid down, stretched out his wings, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
