Lulu and the Bicycle Race

One day Lulu was riding her bicycle around the neighborhood. She came to a street and saw that it was closed. There were some small fences that were blocking the street. There was also a sign that said there was a bicycle race that day. Lulu waited for a while and then saw some people walk up to the fence.

They brought balloons and flags. Lullu watched as more people came up and stood around the fence blocking the street. Then she heard some noise, and the people started cheering. Lulu looked down the street and saw that there were some bicycle riders coming towards them. The bicycle riders were going very fast.

And the people standing along the fence and watching, were waving the balloons and flags. Everybody was cheering on bicycle riders. Then the bicycle riders rode past that spot and Lulu wanted to see where they would go next. She walked up to one of the posters about the bicycle race.

She saw a map that showed where the bicycle race continued going. Lulu got on her bicycle and rode down a different street to take a shortcut to reach the last part of the race before the bicycle riders got there. When Lulu arrived at the last part of the race, there was another group of people gathered there.

Lulu also saw a lot of tables set up with bottles of water for the bicycle riders to drink after they finished the race. Lulu stood by the side and was ready for the bicycle riders to finish the race. But after waiting for a while everybody looked confused. People were wondering where the bicycle riders were.

They should have arrived by now. Then Lulu could see in the distance some of the bicycle riders in the race. But they were not riding fast anymore. The people watching the race were confused. Lulu looked more carefully and she saw something on the ground down the road, in front of the bicycle riders.

She told the people gathered around her that there was something blocking the bicycle riders in the race. Everybody looked carefully to try and see what it was. When it moved closer to them, Lulu saw that it was some turtles that were on the road. The turtles were walking very slowly in front of the bicycle riders, who couldn't pass around the turtles.

It was funny to see the turtles in the bicycle race. Everybody smiled and laughed. Then Lulu had an idea. She ran over to some trees nearby and found a stick on the ground. She pulled some leaves off a bush and tied the leaves to the stick with her shoelace. Then she walked over to where the turtles were in front of the bicycle riders. She held the stick out over the small fence on the side of the street.

She waved the leaves tied to the stick in front of the turtles. The turtles saw the leaves and wanted to eat them. Then Lulu started pulling the leaves away from the bicycle race, and the turtles were following the leaves. Then the turtles stepped between the fence and were out of the path of the bicycle race.

The bicycle riders started riding fast again, and everybody waved and cheered. The turtles ate the leaves, then kept walking away and went into the park. The bicycle race was finished and everybody thanked Lulu for her good idea.

Lulu rode her bicycle back home and got ready for dinner. After dinner she drew a picture of the turtles on the road in front of the bicycle rider. Then she got ready for bed, and brushed her teeth. Finally, Lulu laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
