Lulu and the Apple Farm

One morning Lulu and her parents were getting ready to go to an apple farm. Lulu was excited and was getting ready. She ate breakfast with her parents. They ate some eggs, and some bananas. And they drank some orange juice. Then Lulu put a book, and her toy zebra, and a water bottle in her backpack. 

And she also put on her shoes. They got in their car and drove to the apple farm. The apple farm was far away, and on the way, Lulu was reading a little bit from the book that she brought in her backpack. She also drank the water from her water bottle. Then they arrived at the apple farm. 

They signed up for a tour of the apple farm. There was also a boy with his parents there and they also signed up for a tour. A man who worked on the farm walked up and said hello to both families. He was going to show them all around the farm. They all sat in a wagon that was pulled by a tractor. 

Lulu and her parents sat in the wagon. And the boy with his parents got in the wagon. The boy introduced himself to Lulu and said his name was Jimmy. Lulu told him her name, and they became friends. Jimmy also had a backpack with him. He had brought a book and his toy tiger with him. 

The tour of the apple farm was starting. The farm worker got in the tractor in front of the wagon and started to drive it. The tractor pulled the wagon behind it, and they were brought to the first part of the tour, where they saw small young apple trees. The farm worker said that when the apple trees are young, they have no apples on them. 

Then the farm worker drove the tractor and pulled the wagon to the next part of the tour. Here there were grown apple trees, and they had apples all over them. Then the farm worker told them that they could pick apples from the apple trees. The farm worker took out some baskets from the back of the wagon, and handed them to each person. 

The parents of Jimmy and Lulu were able to reach up high and pick the apples out of the trees. But Lulu and Jimmy couldn't reach up that high. Then Lulu had an idea to stand on the wagon. She and Jimmy both stood on the wagon, and they took turns picking apples. Jimmy held a basket and Lulu was able to reach the apples in the tree and fill the basket. 

Then Lulu held a basket and Jimmy was able to reach the apples in the tree and fill the basket. Now the farm worker drove the tractor and pulled the wagon to the big apple press machine. It was a big machine that had a large bucket. A basket full of apples was put in the machine's bucket And a big block above the bucket would come down and press all the apples. 

There was a small hole in the side of the bucket. And when the big block was pressed into the bucket, it squeezed all the apples very hard, and apple juice came out of the hole. The farm worker handed them each cup, and they could drink freshly squeezed apple juice. Then Lulu remembered the water bottle in her backpack. 

She drank all the water while in the car on the way to the apple farm. And now the water bottle was empty. Lulu held the empty water bottle next to the big apple pressing machine. Another basket of apples was put in the large bucket. Then as the big block came down into it, Lulu was able to fill her water bottle with fresh apple juice. 

The apple farm tour was finished now, and everybody got out of the wagon. Then it was time to go home, and Lulu said goodbye to Jimmy. When Lulu and her parents got home, she opened the backpack, and she found a toy tiger in it. Oh no. She had mixed up her backpack with Jimmy's backpack. Lulu told her parents and they called the apple farm. 

The apple farm contacted Jimmy's family and they said they had Lulu's backpack. Jimmy's parents said they would come over and give Lulu's backpack with her toy zebra in it. After a while there was a knock on the door, and it was Jimmy and his parents. Lulu gave him his backpack, and Jimmy gave Lulu her backpack. 

Then Lulu gave Jimmy the bottle of apple juice she got from the farm, to say thank you for coming over to return her backpack and toy zebra and book. Jimmy and his parents said goodbye and left. Then Lulu and her parents ate dinner. And afterwards Lulu got ready for bed. She brushed her teeth, and then laid down. She put her toy zebra next to her, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
