Treasure hunt notes

After dinner one day, Lulu wanted to make a treasure hunt. She got out seven pieces of paper and seven envelopes. Then she wrote messages on each piece of paper, and put it in the envelopes. She went and hid those envelopes around her home. Each piece of paper had a clue of where to find the next one.

Then Lulu gave her mommy the first envelope which had clue number one in it. The paper inside the envelope said, “go look where you keep food cold.” Lulu’s mommy went to the refrigerator and opened it. Inside the refrigerator was another envelope with another clue.

Lulu’s mommy took the second paper out of the envelope and read clue number two. The second paper said, “go look where you brush your teeth.” Lulu’s mommy went to the bathroom, and saw an envelope taped to the mirror. It had clue number three in it. Lulu’s mommy took the third paper out of the envelope and read the next clue.

The third paper said, “go look where you throw away things.” Lulu’s mommy went to the garbage bin, and saw an envelope on top of it. It had clue number four in it. Lulu’s mommy took the fourth paper out of the envelope and read the next clue.

The fourth paper said, “go look where you come in after going outside.” Lulu’s mommy went to the front door, and saw an envelope taped to the door. It had clue number five in it. Lulu’s mommy took the fifth paper out of the envelope and read the next clue. The fifth paper said, “go look where you heat up food.”

Lulu’s mommy went to the kitchen and looked in the oven. But there was nothing there. Then she looked on the stove, but there was also nothing there. Then Lulu’s mommy saw the microwave, and opened it, and inside there was an envelope. It had clue number six in it.

Lulu’s mommy took the sixth paper out of the envelope and read the next clue. The sixth paper said, “this is the last clue, go look where you sleep every night.” Lulu’s mommy went to the bedroom, and looked on the bed, but didn’t see anything. Then Lulu’s mommy picked up the pillow and under the pillow there was an envelope. Lulu’s mommy opened the envelope and saw the seventh piece of paper.

Written on the seventh paper was this message, “Mommy I love you, thank you for taking care of me seven days a week.” Lulu’s mommy smiled. There were seven envelopes, and Lulu made that many to represent the seven days in a week. And every day each week Lulu is glad that her mommy helps her. Then it was time for bed, and Lulu brushed her teeth. Then she laid down, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
