Jumping high in dreams

Lulu and Sally went for a walk one day. While they were on their walk, Lulu saw some things that reminded her of a dream she had the night before, and she told Sally about it. Lulu said, “last night I had a dream that I could jump very high.” Sally asked, “how high were you able to jump?” 

Lulu answered, “In my dream I could jump right over the top of big things, like houses and buildings.” Sally pointed at a leaf on the ground, and asked if Lulu could jump over that now. And Lulu was able to jump over the leaf. Then Sally pointed at a rock on the ground, and asked if Lulu could jump over that now. And Lulu was able to jump over the rock. 

Then Sally pointed at a bench on the ground, and asked if Lulu could jump over that. Lulu looked at the bench and said, “I don’t think I can jump over the bench now, but in my dream I could. It almost felt like I was floating in the air, like a balloon.” 

Then Sally had an idea, and thought to go get some balloons to see if Lulu could float over the bench just like a balloon. Lulu and Sally went to the store, and they bought a bunch of balloons. Then they went back to the park where they saw the bench. 

And now they had a lot of balloons with them. This time, while holding all the balloons, Lulu ran towards the bench and tried to jump up, and see if she could float above the bench. But instead she just hopped up and down, like normal, and was still standing in front of the bench. 

Then Lulu backed up a little bit, and ran forward while holding the balloons and tried to jump over the bench, but was only able to hop up onto the seat of the bench. Finally Lulu tried one more time. Lulu went and stood far away. Then Lulu started to run forward very fast, while holding the balloons. 

And Lulu tried to jump over the bench, but again was only able to hop up onto the seat of the bench. Sally said, “looks like that’s not going to work after all.” Lulu agreed and said, “so now what do we do with all these balloons? Sally said, “let’s look for some people to give them to.” 

They walked around the park and looked for anybody they could give the balloons to. Then they saw some kids having a birthday party near some picnic tables. Lulu and Sally asked those kids if they wanted some extra balloons. The kids said yes and they were very excited to have some extra balloons. 

Now Lulu and Sally were glad to be able to make those kids happy. Then Lulu and Sally said goodbye to each other, and they both walked back to their own home. Lulu had dinner and after dinner got ready for bed. She brushed her teeth and wondered what she would dream about tonight. She laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
