Zebra Goes To The Moon

One day zebra was out on a walk. During her walk she saw something tall and shiny in the distance. It was taller than the trees. Zebra walked towards it to find out what it was. When zebra finally arrived there, she saw something amazing. Tiger was making something big. It was shaped like a long cylinder and had a pointy top, with triangles on the bottom.. 

Zebra asked Tiger what it was. Tiger said that it was a space rocket. Zebra asked Tiger what it was for. And Tiger said that he was going to use it to go to the moon. Zebra thought that sounded exciting and asked Tiger if she could come along. Tiger said that would be fine, but they would need to make a spacesuit for her. 

Tiger said that he also needed help making a fence, to keep others back a safe distance when they launched. Zebra said she could help. Zebra and Tiger went and got some materials, and built a fence around the space rocket. They also wanted to build some seats outside the fence, so that others could watch them go up in the space rocket. Zebra said she could bring some chairs from home to use. 

Tiger said that was a good idea. Zebra went home and brought a bunch of chairs back, and put them all around the fence. Then Tiger said that they should make some posters announcing their trip on the space rocket. Zebra said that was a good idea. And Zebra went and got some poster paper and some markers. 

Using the markers, zebra and tiger drew pictures of the space rocket on the poster paper. And they wrote, "come and see the space rocket launch." Then Zebra put up the posters all around the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Tiger was making a new space suit for Zebra to wear. 

While Tiger was making the space suit, others who saw the posters came and sat in the seats. Then Tiger finished making the space suit. Zebra tried it on and it fit well. Tiger showed Zebra how to turn on the air tank for the space suit, because there was no air to breathe on the moon. Zebra practiced and was ready. Then Tiger and Zebra waved to everyone who was sitting in the seats. 

Zebra and Tiger entered the space rocket. Tiger told Zebra to put on the seat belt. Then Tiger turned on the space rocket and began the countdown. Everyone outside could hear it over the speakers. "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, blast off." Then the rocket started moving and leaving the ground. It was flying up into the air and kept going. 

All the others watched as the space rocked looked smaller and smaller in the sky. After a while Zebra and Tiger were flying through space towards the moon. Then Tiger landed the space rocket on the moon. Zebra was excited. Tiger opened the door on the space rocket and they stepped out. From the moon they could see the earth, which looked small from the moon. 

Then Tiger told Zebra that he had a surprise. He showed Zebra some paint that he had brought. Tiger said that they could paint some stripes on the moon to look like each of them. Zebra picked up the black and white paint. And Tiger picked up the orange and black paint. Then they walked around on the moon and found a large flat spot. Tiger went to the left side and drew a big square. Then inside the big square, Tiger painted black and orange lines, one by one. 

When he was finished the whole square was covered in black and orange stripes, just like him. Then Zebra went to the right side and drew a big square. And inside that square, Zebra painted black and white lines, one by one. When she was finished, the whole square was covered in black and white stripes, just like her. Tiger and Zebra brought the paint back to the space rocket. 

Then Tiger looked at how much air they had remaining in their space suits. Soon the air would be finished. And Tiger suggested that they take the space rocket back to earth. Zebra agreed and got ready to leave. Tiger shut the door to the space rocket, and they both sat down and put on their seat belts. Then Tiger turned on the space rocket. As they left the moon, the space rocket was shaking a lot while flying back to earth. And the cans of paint became loose and the lids fell open. 

Orange paint spilled onto Zebra. And white paint spilled onto Tiger. Now Tiger looked like he had stripes of a zebra. And Zebra looked like she had stripes of a tiger. They both laughed. Then the space rocket landed back where they started. They got out and everybody who was in the seats watching clapped and cheered. 

Then Zebra and Tiger both needed to go home and wash the paint off. They said goodbye to each other. Zebra went home, and got in the shower. She washed off all the orange paint. And then she looked like a Zebra again. Now Zebra was ready for dinner. She made some food and ate it. Then she got ready for bed and brushed her teeth. 

Finally Zebra laid down, and looked out the window. She could see the moon. And on the moon she could see the stripes that Tiger and painted, and the stripes that she had painted. And it looked like there was a tiger and zebra sitting on the moon. Zebra kept looking at the moon through the window, until her eyes closed, and she went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
