The Shiny Ring

Lulu was playing at the playground one day. While she was playing, she saw something shining on the ground and stopped to take a look. When Lulu got close to it, she saw that it was a ring. Lulu wondered whose ring it was. She picked it up and put it in her pocket and kept playing. Then when she stopped to take a rest, Lulu walked over to the bench where her mommy was sitting. 

Lulu showed her mommy the ring. Lulu's mommy looked carefully at the ring, and saw that the inside part of the ring had a phone number carved on it. Lulu said that they should call the phone number. Lulu's mommy agreed, and she took out her phone. Lulu's mommy called the number, and a man answered saying hello. 

Lulu's mommy said that she was at the playground and her daughter had found a shiny ring on the ground. The man on the phone was surprised and very happy. He said that he was at the playground with his son earlier. And that he had lost the ring. Lulu's mommy said that she and Lulu could go and return the ring to him. 

The man said that would be very nice, and they made a plan to meet at a cafe. Lulu's mommy told the man which cafe to meet them, and he wrote it down. He said that he would be wearing a green jacket, and that his son would be wearing a blue jacket. Lulu and her mommy went to their car and got in. And they drove to the cafe. 

When they arrived there, Lulu looked around. She saw a boy with a blue jacket sitting next to a man in a green jacket, and told her mommy. Lulu and her mommy walked over, and Lulu held out the ring. The man was so happy. He wanted to thank Lulu and her mommy, and said he had a gift for them. 

He said that he works at the zoo, and he could give them some tickets to go to the zoo. Lulu thought that was great. And he also said it would be nice if she could invite her friend Jimmy. And the man gave Lulu's mommy four tickets to the zoo. Two for Lulu and her mommy, and two for Jimmy and his mommy. 

Lulu's mommy thanked the man and said goodbye to him and the boy. Then Lulu and her mommy left. Lulu called Jimmy and told him about the tickets to the zoo. He was excited and said that he would get ready to go, and meet Lulu there. Lulu and her mommy drove to the zoo, and saw Jimmy and his mommy waiting outside. 

Then they used the tickets and entered the zoo. Lulu and Jimmy walked around and saw all the different animals. Then they walked over to the elephants and saw that it was feeding time. There was a zoo worker that said the kids could help feed the elephants. Lulu and Jimmy said that would be nice. 

There was a large pile of hay and grass, and the zoo worker said to feed that to the elephant. Lulu and Jimmy picked up big handfuls of hay and grass and held it out for the elephant. It reached over with its trunk and took the hay and grass. Then the elephant used its trunk to pick up Lulu and Jimmy and put them on its back. They laughed, as the elephant walked around. 

Then the elephant stopped quickly, which made Lulu and Jimmy scoot forward towards its head. And they both slid down the elephant's trunk. Lulu and Jimmy landed in the pile of hay and grass. The elephant made a cheerful noise with its trunk. They laughed and then waved to the elephant. 

It was time for the zoo to close soon, and Lulu with her mommy and Jimmy with his mommy all left the zoo. They said goodbye to each other, and Lulu got in the car with her mommy. They drove home, and when they arrived Lulu took a shower. After she showered, Lulu ate dinner with her parents. 

Then she helped clean up the dishes. And after dinner Lulu took out her notebook and drew a picture of her and Jimmy sitting on top of the elephant at the zoo. Then Lulu got ready for bed. She went into the bathroom and brushed her teeth. Finally she laid down, closed her eyes, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
