Lulu and the Skateboard

One day Lulu was eating breakfast at home. When she finished eating breakfast, she was thinking about what she would do that day. She decided she wanted to go for a bicycle ride. She got her bicycle ready. But then she saw that her front tire was flat. And it needed some air in it. 

Lulu took out the air pump and connected it to the bicycle tire. She began to pump air into the tire. When the tire had enough air in it, Lulu put the pump away. Then she took her bicycle outside. Lulu began riding her bicycle down the street. As Lulu was riding down the street there was a small sharp rock on the ground. 

Lulu didn't see the sharp rock, and rode right over it. The rock poked into the tire and air started to come out of the tire. Lulu could hear a hissing sound, and she realized that air was leaking out of the tire. She got off her bicycle and pushed it to the bicycle repair shop nearby. Lulu asked them to put a new tire on her bicycle. 

They told her that they could replace it in a while. Lulu sat down in the waiting area. Then she saw a display on the wall. It said there was a skateboard in the bicycle shop that people could borrow and try out. A skateboard is a flat rectangle board with four wheels under it. And a person stands on it and pushes forward with their foot. 

Lulu asked if she could borrow the skateboard, and they let her use one. Lulu started to ride the skateboard down the street. She rode it to her friend Jimmy's home. She knocked on Jimmy's door and he opened it. He saw that Lulu had a skateboard with her, and he asked where she got it. 

She told him that she borrowed it from the bicycle shop. Lulu saw that there was a dog behind Jimmy, and she asked him if he got a new dog. Jimmy explained that it was his neighbor's dog, and that he was watching the dog for the neighbor. Jimmy said that he needed to take the dog out for a walk, and invited Lulu to come along. 

Lulu brought the skateboard and went on a walk with Jimmy and the dog. They were walking along the running path. And they saw a woman looking around the ground, under some bushes. Lulu and Jimmy asked the woman what he was doing, and he said that he had lost her keys while running. 

Lulu and Jimmy said they could help look for the keys. Lulu had an idea. She told Jimmy that he and she could sit on the skateboard, and his neighbor's dog could pull them along the running path. And this way they could look on the ground along the running path more quickly. Jimmy thought that was a good idea. 

They both sat on the skateboard together. Jimmy had a tennis ball with him, and he threw it in front of the dog to get the dog to run and pull them forward. As they went along the running path, being pulled on the skateboard by the dog, they tried to look for the keys. But it was too difficult to see the keys. 

Then Jimmy had an idea. He said they should get a magnet and use that to find the keys. Lulu and Jimmy went back to his place and he got the biggest magnet that was on the refrigerator door. Then they got some tape and taped the magnet to the end of a stick. Now they got back on the skateboard and threw the tennis ball in front of the dog. 

The dog ran forward, pulling them on the skateboard. Jimmy held the dog's leash, and Lulu held the stick with the magnet. Then the magnet grabbed the metal keys that were on the ground under some leaves. Jimmy and Lulu brought the keys to the runner. 

The runner was amazed and said Jimmy and Lulu were very smart to think of using a magnet. Then Lulu wanted to go back to the bicycle shop to get her bicycle. Jimmy had the dog pull them on the skateboard to the bicycle shop. When they arrived there, Lulu's bicycle tire was fixed. 

Then she gave the skateboard back to the worker in the shop. Now Lulu was ready to go home, and she said goodbye to Jimmy. Then Lulu rode her bicycle home. When she arrived at home, she ate some dinner and got ready for bed. She brushed her teeth and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
