Lulu and the Green Ink

One day Lulu was going to meet her friend Jimmy in the park for lunch. They were going to eat and draw together. Lulu packed into her backpack a notebook, and a pen. She also packed a bottle of water and an apple and a pear. Then she went outside and walked to the park. 

When she arrived at the park, she saw Jimmy waiting for her on a bench. He also brought his notebook and a pen. Lulu sat down next to Jimmy and she opened her backpack. She took out her apple and started to eat it. Jimmy had brought a sandwich in a plastic container. He opened the container and began to eat his sandwich. 

When Lulu had finished eating her apple, and Jimmy had finished eating his sandwich, they were ready to draw. Lulu took out her pen and started drawing in her notebook. But very quickly the pen she was using had no more ink in it, because it was finished. Lulu didn't know what to do. 

She only brought one pen with her, and Jimmy only brought one pen with him. Jimmy had an idea and he walked over to some plants. He picked a leaf off the plant. Then he picked up a small rock. He put the leaf inside the empty sandwich container. And he used the rock to crush the leaf. Jimmy then asked Lulu to pour some drops of water into the container. 

Lulu took the lid off her water bottle, and she put some water into the lid. Very carefully she poured some drops of water from the lid into the container. Then Jimmy used the rock to mix the water drops with the crushed up leaf. Now there was a green liquid in the container. Jimmy found a small stick on the ground and one side had a pointy end. 

Jimmy handed Lulu the stick and said that she could use it to dip into the green liquid and draw with that. Lulu took the stick and held it like a pen. Then she dipped the pointy end of the stick in the green leaf liquid. She used that as the new ink. And then Lulu drew on her notebook with the stick and leaf ink. 

Lulu drew house. And then she drew a car. Then she drew a tree. As soon as Lulu drew the tree in the notebook, a real tree popped out of the ground nearby. She and Jimmy saw the tree appear immediately. Next Lulu drew a bicycle in the notebook with the green leaf ink, but nothing happened. 

Then she drew another tree with the stick and green leaf ink, and a second tree popped up near the first one. Then Lulu had an idea. She drew some branches coming out of the two trees and connecting with each other, from near the bottom of the tree to the top of the tree. 

When Lulu drew that, she and Jimmy looked at the two trees. And suddenly branches popped out and made a staircase that went up to the top of the two trees. Lulu and walked up the branches shaped like stairs, until they were up high in the treetop. Then Lulu drew some more trees in her notebook, which also popped up out of the ground. 

And then she drew long branches that connected each tree together. Now there was a walkway platform up in the trees. Now Lulu and Jimmy could walk from tree to tree, on the branches that became the walkway. Lulu kept drawing trees and branches in her notebook, until all the trees popped out of the ground and led to her apartment building. 

She drew a staircase of branches from the last tree up to her window. And then Lulu and Jimmy went through the window into her home. As soon as they went inside, all the trees disappeared. Lulu and Jimmy were amazed by the green leaf ink. But now there was no more of the green leaf ink remaining. 

And Jimmy said that it was time for him to go home. He said goodbye to Lulu and he left. Then Lulu got ready for dinner and put away her backpack. After eating dinner, Lulu got ready for bed and brushed her teeth. Then she laid down, closed her eyes, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
