Lulu Tries a New Recipe

One day Lulu was getting ready to go to the park. She went outside and walked to the park. When she got there, she saw her friend Jimmy. He was playing on the playground. And Lulu went to join him. Jimmy wanted to show Lulu a new book that he got. Jimmy walked over to a bench where he put his backpack. 

He took out the book and showed it to Lulu. It was a book about different animals that are awake at night. Lulu wanted to read the book later, and Jimmy said he would lend it to her. But first she wanted to play on the playground. Jimmy and Lulu ran to the swings and played on the swings for a while. 

Then they went to the slide and tried to slide down in different ways. First Jimmy went down the slide by sitting normally, and Lulu did the same. Then Jimmy went flat on his stomach at the top of the slide, and slid down on his front, with his arms in front of him. Lulu laughed and she tried to go down the slide on her stomach also. 

Then Jimmy stood at the top of the slide and he turned around and went down the slide on his back. He tumbled down and bumped his head. Lulu saw that happen and didn't want to tumble herself, so she didn't slide down on her back. Jimmy wanted to rest, and they walked over to the bench. 

When they got to the bench, they saw that Jimmy's book had fallen on the ground. There was a worm eating the middle of the book where the pages were attached to the book. Jimmy picked up the book, and all of sudden there was a strong gust of wind. The pages in the book started blowing away. 

Lulu and Jimmy ran around the park, and picked up the loose pages that had blown all around. Then they decided they would glue the pages back into the book. They went to Jimmy's home and got out some glue. They put the glue in the middle of the book, and stuck the loose pages onto it. 

While they waited for the glue to dry, they decided to make some lunch. Jimmy suggested they make some pizza. They got out some dough, and rolled it into a flat circle. Then they put some tomato sauce on it. Next they put some cheese on the tomato sauce. And finally they put some mushrooms and spinach on top. 

They put that in the oven and waited. While they were waiting, Lulu had an idea for a different type of pizza. They got out some more dough and rolled it out flat. This time Lulu put some strawberry jam on the dough. Then she asked Jimmy if he had any fruit. And he said he had some peaches and pears. 

Lulu cut some pieces of peaches and pears, then put those on top of the strawberry jam. They took the tomato sauce pizza out of the oven, and put the fruit pizza in the oven. They cut the tomato sauce pizza into slices and ate some. Then they took the fruit pizza out of the oven and cut that into slices. 

They ate some of it and it was good. Then it was time for Lulu to go home, and she wanted to bring some tomato and fruit pizza to share with her parents. The glue in Jimmy's book was also dried now. Jimmy let Lulu borrow his new book. When Lulu got home, her parents were making dinner. 

She gave her parents some of the different pizza to try, and they liked it. Then they ate dinner together. After dinner Lulu read the book about night time animals. Then she got ready for bed, and brushed her teeth. After brushing her teeth Lulu laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
