Lulu and the Turtle

One day Lulu and her parents went to visit her cousins. When they reached the cousin's home, they all decided to go to the beach. They got to the beach and wanted to go swimming. After they were swimming for a while, they came out of the water to rest on the sand. 

Then Lulu saw a big rock and she wanted to go climb on it. She walked up to the rock, and sat on it. But after a moment the rock started to move. Lulu looked down and four legs popped out from the sides of the rock. And she also saw a tail and a head pop out from the back and the front of the rock. 

When Lulu looked more carefully she saw that she wasn't sitting on a rock. She was actually sitting on a big turtle. The turtle shell looked like a rock, when the turtle's legs and head and tail were inside the shell. Now the turtle started walking and Lulu was still sitting on the top of the shell. 

The turtle walked to the water and started swimming. Lulu could see all over the beach from sitting on the big turtle's shell. Then Lulu saw that there was a boat further out on the water. Lulu pointed at the boat and asked the turtle to swim there. The turtle started swimming towards the boat. 

When the turtle got near the boat, Lulu could see some people on the boat. They were waving to Lulu to come closer. Then the turtle swam right up next to the boat and Lulu could hear the people on the boat. They told her that their engine had broken and they were stuck on the water and needed help getting back. 

Lulu told them that she could have the big turtle pull their boat back to the beach. The people on the boat got out some rope. One end of the rope was tied to the boat. And the people on the boat threw the other end of the rope to Lulu. She caught the rope and held it very tightly. 

Then Lulu pointed at the beach and asked the big turtle to swim back to the beach. The turtle started swimming, and it took a while to pull the boat back, because the boat was heavy. Finally the turtle reached the beach. Lulu jumped off the big turtle's shell and tied the rope from the boat to a pole sticking out of the sand. 

Then the people on the boat got out and went to look for somebody to fix their boat engine. Lulu thanked the turtle and walked back to where her cousins were resting. Lulu sat down on the blanket. and told her cousins about the big turtle and how its shell looked like a big rock. They asked her to show them the big turtle. 

Lulu pointed at what looked like a big rock and they walked over to it. The turtle poked out its head to say hello. Then it got up and walked towards the water and swam away. Then Lulu saw the people on the boat. They were able to get their boat engine fixed. They waved thank you to Lulu and drove their boat away. 

Lulu's cousins were very proud of her. Lulu's cousins told her that they had seen that turtle before, and it was very old and strong. Then it was time to go home. Lulu and her parents said goodbye to her cousins, and they all left the beach. When Lulu and her parents arrived back at home, they ate dinner. 

After dinner, Lulu drew a picture of herself sitting on the turtle's back, as it was swimming out on the water. She also drew a boat next to the turtle. And Lulu put the picture on the fridge. Then Lulu got ready for bed, and brushed her teeth. She laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
