Chairs go for a walk

One day piggie woke up and was getting prepared for the day. While getting ready to eat breakfast, piggie noticed that the four new kitchen chairs that they got the day before were gone. Now there was nowhere to sit and eat. That’s strange, thought piggie. Where did all the chairs go? 

Piggie walked around at home looking for the chairs. Piggie looked in the bathroom, and the chairs were not there. Piggie looked in the bedroom, and the chairs were not there. Piggie looked in the kitchen, and the chairs were not there. Piggie looked in the living room, and the chairs were not there. 

Then piggie opened the front door and saw the chairs right outside, and was confused. Piggie brought the chairs inside and wondered where they had been. Piggie asked the chairs, “where did you go?” The chairs whispered to piggie, “we went to explore the neighborhood last night.” Piggie was excited, “tell me what you saw.” 

The chairs told piggie about their neighborhood exploration. After everybody went to sleep last night, the chairs wanted to get to know the new neighborhood, and they went out for a nice walk. There was enough light outside that night from the full, moon. The chairs said hello to the moon, and the moon said hello to the chairs. 

Then the chairs kept walking and they saw a cat. The chairs said hello to the cat, and the cat said hello to the chairs. Then the chairs kept walking and they saw a raccoon. The chairs said hello to the raccoon, and the raccoon said hello to the chairs. Then the chairs kept walking and they saw a bird. The chairs said hello to the bird, and the bird said hello to the chairs. 

By then the chairs had walked all around the block on the street of piggie’s home where they now stayed. Then they walked back home, but couldn’t get in so they waited outside until morning. And that’s when piggie found the chairs outside the front door. 

The chairs were so glad to be back inside, and then piggie was glad to have the nice new chairs to sit on and eat breakfast. Then later that night, piggie was getting ready for bed and asked the chairs if they were going to go for another walk again, and the chairs said not anymore because they had gotten to see what was in their new neighborhood, and they didn’t want to get stuck outside again. 

Piggie was glad to hear that, and said goodnight to the chairs. Piggie looked out the window and saw that it was cloudy, and the moon was hidden. Good thing the chairs were not going for a walk outside tonight. Then piggie got in bed and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
