Lulu and the Magic Seeds

One day Lulu was getting ready to eat some breakfast. She went to the kitchen and got out a box of cereal. She poured the cereal into a bowl. The cereal was finishing and the box became empty. But there was something at the bottom of the cereal box. Lulu shook it out and a small packet fell out. Lulu looked at the packet but didn't know what it was. 

She ate her cereal, and then cleaned up the dishes. She came back to the table and picked up the small packet. It was small enough to fit into her hand. She turned it over and saw that there were some tiny words written on the back of the packet. The words "magic seeds, bury, label, and add water" were written on it. Lulu wondered what the seeds were for. She thought that there was a good way to find out. She would bury the seeds and water them. 

Lulu called her friend Jimmy on the phone. She told him about the magic seeds. And she asked him to meet her at the park, and to bring a small shovel. He agreed and said he would get ready. Lulu also started to get ready. She got her backpack out and put the packet of seeds in it. She also put into the backpack a water bottle, a notebook, and a pencil. Then she put her backpack on, and rode her bicycle to the park. 

When she arrived at the park, she saw some kids playing with a jump rope. Then after afew minutes Jimmy arrived at the park. She showed him the packet of magic seeds, and Jimmy was curious. She opened the packet and they looked inside, and saw some tiny seeds. Jimmy took out a small shovel from his backpack. Lulu and Jimmy walked over to the side of the park next to some bushes. 

Jimmy dug a small hole in the ground, and put one of the seeds in the hole. Then he covered the hole with the dug up part, and buried the seed. Lulu got a stick and poked it into the ground in front of the buried seed. She tore a piece of paper out of her notebook, and wondered what to write on it. Jimmy suggested she write the word "sandwich" on the paper. Lulu did that and she put the paper on the stick, and that was the label for the seed. 

Then she got out her water bottle and poured a little water onto the ground, over the buried seed. Jimmy and Lulu stepped back to watch what would happen next. They saw something start to come out of the ground, and then they saw a plant quickly grow out of the ground. It was half as tall as them, and there was a bubble of green leaves on the plant. Then Lulu and Jimmy saw the bubble of leaves open up, and in the middle of it there was a sandwich. 

Jimmy and Lulu laughed and they picked up the sandwich. Jimmy gave Lulu half the sandwich and they both took a bite. It tasted like a normal sandwich. They both ate and finished the rest of the sandwich. Then Jimmy dug another small hole in the ground with the shovel. And Lulu put another seed in the hole. Jimmy covered it up and Lulu poked a stick in the ground in front of it. 

Then Lulu wondered what they should write for the label of this buried seed. They looked around and saw the kids with the jump rope. But the kids had stopped playing because their jump rope had broken. Then Lulu had an idea. She wrote the words "jump rope" on a piece of paper, and put that on a stick. Next she took out her water bottle and poured a little onto the ground over the buried seed. 

Lulu and Jimmy stepped back to see what would happen now. And they saw something begin to come out of the ground. Another plant quickly grew out of the ground. And it also had a bubble of green leaves at the top of the plant. Then the bubble of leaves opened up, and in the middle of it was a jump rope. Lulu and Jimmy were amazed. They picked up the jump rope and ran over to the other kids. 

Jimmy said that the kids could have this jump rope to use since theirs was broken. The other kids thanked Lulu and Jimmy and began to play with the jump rope that came from the magic seed. Lulu and Jimmy went back to the first two plants and Jimmy dug a third hole in the ground. Lulu put a seed in the hole and Jimmy covered it. Then Lulu put a stick in the ground in front of the buried seed. 

Jimmy said they should grow a giant ball to play with. Lulu wrote "giant ball" on the paper and put that on the stick. Then she poured a little water from her water bottle over the buried seed. A plant quickly grew out of the ground and there was a small bubble of leaves on top of the plant. The bubble of leaves opened up and there was a small ball there. Lulu and Jimmy were confused. 

They stepped closer to take a better look. Then suddenly the ball started to get bigger until it became a giant ball. Then it popped off the plant, making Jimmy and Lulu fall back. Lulu dropped the packet of seeds. Some birds that were on the trees nearby flew down and ate the rest of the seeds. Jimmy and Lulu laughed and they looked at the giant ball. Then when they tried to pick up the giant ball, it kept getting bigger. 

Then it started floating up into the air all the way until it was next to the moon. Now that the seeds and ball were gone, Lulu decided it was time to go home. She said goodbye to him, and they both left the park. Then Lulu went home and got ready for dinner. After dinner, Lulu helped clean up. 

Then she got ready for bed and brushed her teeth. As Lulu laid down, she looked out the window and saw the giant ball next to the moon. She wondered if it would still be there the next day. Then Lulu closed her eyes, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
