Lulu and the Food Cart

One day Lulu was eating lunch and thinking about the day. She was eating a bowl of fruit. There were cut up pieces of bananas and apples and oranges. Then Lulu finished her lunch and cleaned up the dishes and put them away. She got ready to go outside, and put on her shoes. Lulu was walking down the street when she heard some music. 

She couldn't see where the music was coming from, and she kept walking towards it. As Lulu kept walking she could hear the music better. Then she turned around a corner and saw a big book fair. There were lots of people selling different types of books. And there was a man selling hot dogs out of a food cart on wheels. 

There was also a truck that was parked nearby and it had some more boxes of books in it that needed to be unloaded. The truck driver started backing up, and Lulu could see that it was close to the food cart. Then all of a sudden the truck went too far backwards, and it bumped the food cart. The man selling hot dogs jumped out of the way, as his food cart started rolling away. 

They were at the top of a small hill right there, and the food cart rolled down the hill. The man selling hot dogs tried to chase his food cart, but it was too far. Then at the bottom of the hill the food cart tipped over and all the hot dogs fell out. The man selling hot dogs picked up the food cart, and he had to throw away all the hot dogs. 

He still had more buns in bags, but he needed more hot dogs to put in it. Lulu said she was willing to help. The man gave Lulu some money and asked her to go to the store and buy some hot dogs. Lulu ran to the store and went to look for more hot dogs. But the store was all sold out of hot dogs that day. 

Then Lulu had an idea. She bought a lot of bananas and took those back to the man with the food cart. She told him that the store had no more hot dogs, but bananas are almost the same shape. And Lulu peeled a banana and put it in a bun, and said that the man could sell those instead. 

He thought it was a funny idea, and he decided to try it. Lulu helped him change the sign on his food cart. She covered the words "hot dogs" and wrote the words "banana buns." Then people came up and tried the bananas in buns. Some people thought it was strange. And some people liked it. 

The man with the food cart thanked Lulu for her idea. Then Lulu walked around the book fair, looking at different books. There was one table that had books on new ideas of how to eat different foods. And Lulu laughed at her own idea of putting a banana in a hot dog bun. She kept walking around and saw a book about insects. 

She got that book and was ready to go home. When Lulu got home she cleaned up and got ready for dinner. After dinner she read a little bit from her new book. Then she got ready for bed and brushed her teeth. After that she laid down, closed her eyes, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
