Lulu and Flavored Ice

One day Lulu was visiting her friend Sally. They went outside to play. It was a hot day, and they had packed some drinks to take along with them. They stopped for a rest and they were drinking some lemonade. But they noticed that the lemonade was warm because it was a hot day. 

Then Lulu suggested that they go and get some ice. So they went back home and got some ice from the freezer to put in the lemonade. Then they went outside to play again. Now when they became thirsty again, they were able to drink some lemonade with ice in it. And the ice made the lemonade cold. 

But when the ice melted in the cup, it made the lemonade more watery. Then Lulu had an idea. She went back home and poured some lemonade into the ice tray and put that in the freezer. She waited long enough for it to freeze. Then when she took it out, she saw that the lemonade had frozen into small squares in the ice tray. 

Now Lulu and Sally put the frozen lemonade squares into their glass of lemonade. Then Sally thought of something they could do. They could freeze a lot of lemonade squares, and bring that to the park. And they could offer it to people who were drinking water. Because the frozen lemonade squares could flavor the water. 

And Lulu suggested they also freeze some apple juice and orange juice in the ice cube trays. Now Lulu and Sally had three frozen flavors of ice cubes. And they got a bowl and put the ice cubes in the bowl. Then they put the bowl in a picnic cooler and took that with them to the park. 

They made a small sign and put that in front of the cooler. The sign said that they had flavored ice to put into water. And they went to the middle of the park. As people walked near the cooler, people saw the sign and walked up to Lulu and Sally. 

Some people put frozen orange juice squares into their water, and it made the water taste like orange juice. Some people put frozen apple juice squares in their water, and it made the water taste like apple juice. Some people put frozen lemonade squares in their water, and it made the water taste like lemonade. 

Near where Lulu and Sally were standing, there was a family having a barbecue. They were cooking some food over a small barbecue fire. All of a sudden the mom of the family shouted out in pain. She had accidentally burned her hand on the barbecue fire. Lulu and Sally saw the woman and the girls went over to help. 

Lulu and Sally brought their cooler to the family, and said that they had some flavored ice. The woman said that would help cool down her hand a lot. Lulu gave the woman some apple juice ice, and some orange juice ice, and some lemonade ice. And the woman wrapped the flavored ice around her hand with a towel. 

After a little while, the woman's hand cooled down, and the burn felt better. The woman thanked Lulu and Sally for giving her some ice to put on her hand. Lulu and Sally were glad that they thought of bringing some flavored ice to the park. Then their cooler was empty and they were ready to leave. 

Lulu said goodbye to Sally, and went back home. Lulu put away the cooler. And Lulu filled the ice trays with water, and put them back in the freezer. Then it was time for dinner. And Lulu told her parents about how the flavored ice had helped a woman cool down her burned hand. After dinner, Lulu got ready for bed, and brushed her teeth. Then she laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
