A Horse Carriage Ride

One day Lulu and her parents were going to a big park. There was a horse carriage ride there. A horse carriage is when a horse is pulling a big seat on wheels, like a sofa. And people can sit in the big seat for a ride pulled by the horse. And the carriage driver sits in front and controls the horse with ropes tied to the horse.

Lulu and her parents drove to the big park, and then they walked to where the horse carriage driver was waiting. They got onto the big seat and sat behind the driver. The horse driver used the ropes to signal the horse to start walking. It was a nice day and they could see all over the big park as they enjoyed the carriage ride around it.

Then there was a loud noise from a fire truck that was driving down the road with its sirens on. The horse was surprised by the loud noise and started to run. While the horse was running, the carriage wheels hit a hole in the road and it disconnected the carriage from the horse. Now the horse was separated from the carriage and the horse ran away.

The carriage slowed down and came to a stop. Lulu and her parents looked at the carriage driver sitting in front of them. He told them that he needed to go find the horse. He asked Lulu and her parents if they would help him, and they said yes. Then the carriage driver waved at a taxi passing by to slow down.

The taxi stopped and they all got in. The carriage driver sat in the front next to the taxi driver, and Lulu sat in the back with her parents. While the taxi drove around the streets, the carriage driver looked out the front window of the taxi. Lulu’s daddy looked out the left window of the taxi, and Lulu’s mommy looked out the right window of the taxi, and Lulu looked out the back window of the taxi.

They drove up and down the whole neighborhood around the big park, looking for the horse. Then when they were stopped at a red light, Lulu saw the horse standing next to a fruit stand outside a grocery store. Lulu told the carriage driver and he asked the taxi driver to let them out there. The taxi pulled over and they all got out, then the taxi drove away.

The carriage driver walked slowly to the horse and climbed onto its back. The horse was eating some apples from the fruit stand. The carriage driver told Lulu’s parents that he’ll ride the horse back to the carriage and bring it back for them to finish the ride.

The carriage driver and the horse left.. Then after a while they came back pulling the carriage again. Lulu and her parents got onto the big seat and sat down. This time the carriage driver covered the horse’s ears, so that it wouldn’t be surprised by any loud noises. Then they rode back to the big park, and Lulu and her parents got off.

They thanked the carriage driver for the ride. Then they got into their car and drove home. When they got home they had dinner together. After dinner Lulu drew a picture of the horse eating apples at the fruit stand. Now it was time to go to bed, and Lulu brushed her teeth. Then she laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
